Book Review: All Together Dead (Sookie Stackhouse #7) by Charlaine Harris

Summary:
Betrayed by her longtime vampire love, Louisiana cocktail waitress Sookie Stackhouse must now not only deal with a possible new man in her life-the oh-so-handsome shapeshifter Quinn-but also contend with a long-planned vampire summit. With her power base weakened by hurricane damage to New Orleans, the local vampire queen is vulnerable to those hungry for a takeover. Soon, Sookie must decide what side she'll stand with. And her choice may mean the difference between survival and all-out catastrophe.

Review:
Sookie is an unpredictable mix of a good-hearted telepath and a somewhat vicious self-preservationist.  As far as action, intrigue, and the sexual innuendo-laden back and forth we've come to expect between Sookie and Eric, All Together Dead doesn't disappoint.  Sookie travels to Rhodes for the vampire summit and, as is custom, has many adventures there.  She doesn't get beaten up in this book, which is a nice change.  I really like the addition of Amelia and Bob to the series.  I wonder if Charlaine Harris can get through one book without introducing a new species?  It's the Britlingens this time around, who are fascinating, to say the least.  I wish I was creative enough to come up with some of these ideas!

Just One Gripe:
Bill's continued presence and Sookie's mixed feelings for him are chafing to me.  I hate Bill!

The Best Thing About This Book:
Even though she's borderline vicious, I like to see Sookie standing up for herself.
